Attorney Bernard Walsh Honors Fallen Officers With Manatee County Area Law EnforcementMay 17, 2018
Civil Trial Attorney Bernard F. Walsh of Shapiro Goldman Babboni Fernandez & Walsh expressed solidarity with members of Manatee County Law Enforcement Honoring Officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Bradenton Florida, May 17th – Attorney Bernard F. Walsh, joined with members of the legal and law enforcement community to honor fallen officers at the 34th Annual Fraternal Order of Police Memorial. Recognizing the sacrifices made by Police and State Troopers and their families across Florida, the ceremony held by the Manatee Lodge 70 Fraternal Order of Police was part of a larger event that included other law enforcement organizations all over Florida.
Also in attendance at the tribute were several officials from the State, County and Florida Highway Patrol including Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells, Florida Highway Patrol Major John Baumann, and State Attorney Ed Brodsky.
Attorney Bernard Walsh of the Bradenton Office of Shapiro Goldman Babboni Fernandez and Walsh had this comment about the memorial service, “The bedrock of of a free and prosperous society is a fair impartial rule of law. However not even that would be possible without the safety and security we have all come to take for granted. That knowledge that we do not have to worry about a lawless society allows us to live well and help our loved ones prosper and pursue happiness. Yet that security comes at a cost, and our fellow Floridians who make up the police, Highway Patrol and other law enforcement organizations place themselves in harms way every day to maintain our way of life. It is important for us to honor the many officers who have fallen in the line of duty, giving the ultimate sacrifice to protect the public. While this is a somber event, I am heartened that so many others have come together in recognition of the heroic actions that members of law enforcement have done, and showing their support for the men and women who place themselves in harms way every day for the rest of us.”
