Injury Attorney M. David Shapiro Marks Five Years As Sarasota Film Festival Board MemberJun 09, 2015
Attorney M. David Shapiro of the Sarasota personal injury law firm Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh is honored with a Sarasota Film Festival board membership for the fifth straight year.
A longtime resident of the local community, David Shapiro and his wife Robin, have lived in Sarasota for the pas 25 years where they have raised their three children.
David, a board certified civil trial attorney, represents plaintiffs in personal injury matters as a managing partner at Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh, is is located next door to the offices of the Sarasota Film Festival on Cocoanut Avenue in downtown Sarasota.
For the past 10 years Attorney David Shapiro has enjoyed attending the Festival and has proudly served as a Sarasota Film Festival board member since 2010.

Held annually in Sarasota, FL., The Sarasota Film Festival emphasizes the best in cinema alongside exciting programs and events, with more than 180 films screened each year including features, documentaries, shorts, and kid-friendly picks. Entering our 17th year, we're proud to bring the best new and veteran independent filmmakers to our Festival with local and kid-friendly programs that showcase our idyllic Gulf Coast community. In 1999, Sarasota civic and business leaders banded together to produce the first Sarasota Film Festival. This “mini-festival,” featuring eight independent films, six actors (Jon Favreau, Marlee Matlin, Jonathan Silverman, Penelope Ann Miller, Peter Sarsgaard, Samantha Mathis) and a gala fundraiser, and has since grown to an annual ten day event with over 200 hundred films, more than 250 filmmakers in attendance, multiple special events, symposiums, panels and conversations featuring leaders in the film industry.
In addition, The Sarasota Film Festival has developed nationwide, award-winning education programs involving over 10,000 students and offering the community free year-round events and workshops.
