MEET ARTHUR COHEN, M.D., J.D., M.B.A, Fellow American College of Legal Medicine
He brings a unique combination of medical knowledge and experience and an active legal career to Shapiro/ Delgado.
Dr. Cohen received his B.A. from New York University in 1964. He attended Brooklyn Law School graduating in 1967 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1968. He graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 1976. After completing a residency if Family Practice he moved to Bradenton, Florida in July, 1978. In 1983 Dr. Cohen passed the Florida Bar Examination and was admitted to the Florida Bar.
Dr. Cohen joined Gary Roberts and Ed Ricci in 1983 and was of counsel with firm for several years. In 1994 he was awarded an MBA Nova University. He joined the law firm of Kallins, Little and Delgado and worked with that firm on an of counsel basis for about 7 years. During his years since moving to Florida he has practice both law and medicine. During that period he eventually became Chief of Staff at Blake Medical Center, was a member of the law firm of Paster, Ray and Cohen. In addition to participating in Medical Malpractice litigation, both for plaintiffs and defendants he also became a mediator and health care risk manager.

Among his professional achievements he became President of the American College of Legal Medicine, a professional organization of Physician/ Attorneys, served on many hospital medical staff committees, and currently serves as Medical Director for the largest free medical clinic in Manatee County.
